HAR Supports Local Education with School Supply Donations

A big part of Helen Adams Realty’s culture is rooted in serving and giving back to the community that has given so much to us for over forty years. A natural fit for this is investing in local education, and what better time to do it than during this back-to-school season. As students and teachers gear up for the new school year Helen Adams Realty’s offices around the Queen City have been hosting school supply drives throughout the month of August.

 

In efforts to give back to the community that has given so much to us for over forty years, investing in education around the Charlotte area is a big part of Helen Adams Realty’s culture.  It is back-to-school season in the Charlotte area, meaning students and teachers are gearing up for the new school year.

 

Helen Adams Realty’s offices around the Queen City have been hosting school supply drives for teachers in their service areas throughout the month of August.

 

Agents and staff at the Fort Mill office are helping the Back2School Block Party, supporting schools in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, and the York County area. The Back2School Block Party is an event held at the beginning of August while collecting donations off site through mid-month. The Back2School Block Party event featured book bag and school supply giveaways, free health screenings for students and adults, a teen zone for middle and high school students, and more.

 

Our office on Randolph Road is participating in donations to Classroom Central, an organization that equips students in need by collecting and distributing free school supplies to their teachers. There are options to donate online if you’re unable to make a stop by a donation site. The most needed items on teachers lists include pencils, glue sticks, colored pencils, pocket folders, thumb drives, composition books, binders, earbuds, and bookbags.

 

Helen Adams Realty is cognizant of the power of education in our community and these school supply drives are just one way we are able to give back to students in Charlotte. We are proud to also have a permanent endowment with UNC Charlotte called the Helen Adams Realty Scholarship. The proceeds from the endowment are used to provide merit-based scholarship support to incoming freshmen with a preference given to those from Mecklenburg County, so that we can help those in the community where the bulk of our clients live.

 

The agents and staff at Helen Adams Realty are always looking for ways to get involved and give back to the communities we serve, including this back to school opportunity. We are happy to do this by supporting local teachers and students in school supply drives as well as investing in the Helen Adams Realty Scholarship fund at UNC Charlotte.
